ZIVEET Company Limited ("ZIVEET," "we," "us," or "our") respects the privacy of everyone who visits www.ziveet.ng (the "Site") or otherwise interacts with us. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and what rights you have over it.

We work with clients and visitors based in Nigeria and internationally, including the United Kingdom, the European Union, the United States, and Canada. This Policy is written to address the requirements of Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023 ("NDPA"), the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR"), and the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), so that visitors from any of these regions can understand their rights. Where local law gives you stronger or different rights than described generally below, that local law applies to you.

By using the Site, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy. If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not use the Site.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide directly

When you fill out our contact form, we collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Phone number (optional, including WhatsApp number if provided)
  • Any message, project details, or other information you choose to include

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address.

b) Information collected automatically

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site — for example, which pages are viewed, how long visitors stay, and what device or browser they're using. Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to collect this information. This data is aggregated and used to improve the Site; we do not use it to identify you personally.

Standard server logs may also record your IP address, browser type, and the date and time of your visit, for security and diagnostic purposes.

c) WhatsApp

The WhatsApp button on our Site links directly to WhatsApp's own platform. We do not collect or store any data through that button beyond what you choose to send us in a WhatsApp conversation, which is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and discuss potential projects
  • Provide the services you request from us
  • Send you our newsletter, if you've subscribed (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • Understand how the Site is used, so we can improve it
  • Meet our legal and regulatory obligations

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

If you are located in the EU or UK, we process your personal data on the following legal bases:

  • Consent — for newsletter subscriptions and analytics cookies, which you can withdraw at any time
  • Legitimate interest — for responding to enquiries you have submitted to us and improving our Site
  • Contract — where processing is necessary to perform a service you've engaged us for

4. How We Store and Protect Your Data

Contact form submissions and newsletter subscriptions are stored in a secure database accessible only to authorised ZIVEET personnel. We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, or loss.

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, or as required by law. Contact form submissions are typically retained for the duration of our relationship with you plus a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping; newsletter email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

  • With service providers who help us operate the Site (such as our web hosting provider and Google Analytics), who are only permitted to use your data to provide services to us
  • With vetted partners we directly supervise (for example, legal partners assisting with business registration services you've requested), and only to the extent necessary to deliver that service
  • If required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • To protect the rights, property, or safety of ZIVEET, our clients, or others

6. Cookies

The Site uses cookies primarily through Google Analytics to understand visitor behaviour. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings at any time. Disabling cookies may affect some functionality of the Site, though the Site will generally remain usable.

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you are located, you may have some or all of the following rights regarding your personal data:

If you are in Nigeria (NDPA)

You have the right to be informed about how your data is processed, to access the data we hold about you, to request correction of inaccurate data, to request deletion of your data, and to object to certain types of processing, subject to the conditions set out in the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.

If you are in the EU or UK (GDPR)

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to our processing of it; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

If you are in California (CCPA)

You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. As stated above, we do not sell personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@ziveet.ng. We will respond within a reasonable time and in accordance with applicable law.

8. International Data Transfers

As a Nigeria-based company serving clients internationally, your data may be processed and stored in Nigeria as well as by service providers (such as Google Analytics) that may process data in other countries, including the United States. Where required by applicable law, we take steps to ensure such transfers are subject to appropriate safeguards.

9. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal, operational, or regulatory reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
